Ecco il pdf aggiornato (qualificazioni Europa <A HREF="http://www.andonio.it/rugby/Qualificazioni%20Europa.pdf" TARGET="_blank">CLICCA QUI</A>) con gli ultimi risultati postati da Aquilante, ci sono alcune nuove date di partite, io leggo la sezione fixtures e results del sito RWC IRB, ed ogni tanto si leggono cose senza senso quali \"Polonia Moldavia si giocherà il 4 agosto 2005...\" il sito ha qualche problema tecnico nella gestione delle date...

Sono cominciate da poco le partite di qualificazione in europa che portaranno a determinare la sesta squadra per i gironi a tre...la sorpresa secondo me è stata la vittoria del Belgio ai danni della Croazia, mentre la Germania continua a macinare vittorie. E\' ancora presto per sbilanciarsi sui nomi delle due vincitrici dei gironi, però secondo me potrebbero essere Spagna e Germania.
 
 Comunque questo meccanismo mi sembra troppo penalizzante, non è giusto mettere un posto a disposizione per 24 nazionali senza tenere conto che quasi certamente la squadra vincitrice nel giro di due gare potrebbe essere eliminata dalla sesta del 6NazioniB e bruciarsi una r*** durata 10/12 partite circa.
 
 Non sarebbe più giusto fare dei gironi simili a quelli per il calcio?

Forse dei gironi simili a quelli delle qualificazioni mondiali di calcio sarebbero troppo squilibrati. Credo che il sistema di qualificazione adottato dall\'IRB non sia stato inventato cervelloticamente di sana pianta ma sia stato improntato sullo schema preesistente, per permettere alle squadre di giocare le competizioni tradizionali (Sei Nazioni, Sei Nazioni B, ENC) e di sfidarsi al tempo stesso per le qualificazioni mondiali.
 
 Piccola nota: pare che a vedere Belgio-Croazia ci fossero 5000 persone. Un bel segnale, evidentemente il rugby è piuttosto popolare anche lassù.

 4/11/2005, Il Comitato Organizzatore della Coppa del Mondo di “Francia 2007” ha riservato a tutti i tesserati della Federazione Italiana Rugby condizioni agevolate e tariffe preferenziali per l’acquisto dei biglietti per le partite di poule e quarti di finale della prossima rassegna iridata.
 
 Le operazioni di vendita inizieranno domani, sabato 5 novembre, e si concluderanno il 30 aprile 2006. Per acquistare i biglietti gli interessati dovranno procedere come segue:
 
 - collegarsi al sito www.france2007.org o, in alternativa, al sito www.france2007.fr
 - cliccare su “ticketing”
 - procedere alla propria registrazione specificando cognome, nome, data di nascita(GG/MM/ANNO) e club di appartenenza (nome del club o codice)
 
 N.B.: Il sistema di banca dati messo a punto dal Comitato Organizzatore Francese è creato su base standardizzata con alfabeto occidentale (no accenti, ecc)

 Malta Succumb to German Steel. 31 Oct 2005
 
 Malta was beaten by Germany in the 2007 Rugby World Cup qualifying game at Hibernians Football ground in Paola, Malta, on Saturday, October 29th.
 
 Germany ran out the winners 43-0, but were held to 3-0 at half-time by a Maltese team who kept in the Germans face with a passionate display of hustle bustle rugby, but just couldn\'t put points on the board.
 
 The Germans were rattled and dropped and knocked on many a ball when they looked like scoring. A large Maltese crowd of over 3500 urged the boys on, but they just couldn\'t lift their game another gear. It was always going to be a big ask for Malta ranked 57 in the world to beat a team ranked over 20 places above them.
 
 We almost scored a couple of times as we kept the pressure on them, Ollie Sacco intercepted a pass and ran it back at them, only for it to peter out with the wrong option taken in their 22.
 
 The boys trudged up the stairs to the changing sheds at half time, looking like they had been put through the wringer by the mighty German pack, and seemed to have worn themselves out by the climb, as when they came back out, they had lost their energy.
 
 The Germans lined up without taking their full break and were as if to be saying \"Ok Malta we are ready for you!\" In that second half they began to play their game hitting their runners up and then going wide with extra men in the line. They were on the front foot and we just couldn\'t knock them out of their stride.
 
 We were infringing in our passion to compete and Whitney was yellow carded for a late tackle on their scrum-half, he\'d only been on the pitch for a minute to earn his first Maltese cap.
 
 We had a flyer out on the wing, Simon Micallef, but we couldn\'t get enough ball to him, he tried getting into the game, but we just didn\'t see enough of him with the ball.
 
 It was thought that the Czech Referee was not policing the rucks and mauls enough to our liking. But that aside, we were beaten by a better team on the day.
 
 It was a brilliant day for rugby, the temperature was hovering around 24C, with a slight breeze.The field was immaculate in preparation, new grass sown for the occassion and we were the first game to have been played on the ground, even before the footballers.
 
 We now have to lift ourselves in spirit and into the air, as the team flies to play Serbia/Montenegro next weekend. We are with the team in heart even if we cannot travel to see them play.
 
 We wish the boys well, go there, win and make us proud.

 La selecció andorrana es va quedar dissabte passat a les portes de guanyar en el seu primer partit de la tercera fase classificatòria per a la Copa del Món de França 2007. Als Isards els van faltar deu minuts per capgirar el marcador. Ara els andorrans hauran de viatjar a Holanda a finals de mes a on tractaran de donar la sorpresa davant un rival teòricament superior. Per la seva banda Polònia juga la setmana vinent a Madrid davant la selecció espanyola. Els polonesos ja van derrotar al XV espanyol en el darrer enfrontament...
 
 Els polonesos van aprofitar el factor vent per acabar els primers 40 minuts amb un resultat de 15 a 0, amb polèmica inclosa a un darrer assaig molt protestat pels andorrans.
 
 A la represa el capità Christian Pons començar la remuntada anotant els primers set punts dels isards. El segon assaig, obra de Vergara, va arribar massa tard i encara que Pons el va transformar pràcticament ja no va quedar temps per a més.
 
 El mateix Pons va assegurar que “ens van faltar deu minuts per posar-nos pel davant”. Segons el capità andorrà, “amb el vent a favor i la moral alta com estàvem, estic convençut que ens hauríem imposat”.
 
 El següent partit d\'aquesta fase serà a Holanda a on els homes de Jordi Beal tractaran de donar la sorpresa.
