Nella Top10 del Pro14 pubblicata dal sito ufficiale in base alle statistiche, compare giustamente Giovanni Licata:
Top ten Guinness PRO14 players - based on total score
Duhan van der Merwe (Edinburgh)
Where to begin with Richard Cockerill’s flying winger?
The South African wide man has terrorised Guinness PRO14 defences all campaign and notched seven tries in his 12 Championship appearances, also leading the way in clean breaks (27), defenders beaten (61) and metres gained (765).
Paul Boyle (Connacht)
A dynamic back-rower who captained Ireland at the 2017 Under-20 World Cup, Boyle has translated his international experience onto the Guinness PRO14 stage with 122 carries, 161 tackles and five turnovers.
Taine Basham (Dragons)
Another explosive back-rower who has featured 13 times for Dean Ryan’s men this term, the precocious 20-year-old has won the joint-fifth most turnovers (nine), made 35 successful carries and completed a monstrous 157 tackles.
Arno Botha (Munster)
A further powerhouse at the back of the scrum, experienced South African Arno Botha has been a pivotal performer for the Munstermen with 45 successful carries and seven tries from his 11 appearances - the joint-fourth highest in Championship action.
Uzair Cassiem (Scarlets)
Brad Mooar’s flanker has been at the heart of everything the men from South Wales have done this season, completing a considerable 150 carries - 28 more than any other player - with 75 of them successful.
Max Deegan (Leinster)
Yet another back row battering ram, Leo Cullen’s No. 8 has been consistent in his ten Championship appearances so far, sitting second in the successful carries tally - behind Uzair Cassiem - with 52 and also gaining 310 metres for the Conference A table-toppers.
Pierre Schoeman (Edinburgh)
The top ten wouldn’t be complete without a dose of front-row fireworks, and Edinburgh’s Pierre Schoeman - recruited from South Africa’s Blue Bulls in 2018 - has been a formidable presence for the Scots, with 107 carries, eight turnovers and a 93 per cent tackle success rate.
Olly Cracknell (Ospreys)
A back-row warrior with Wales Under-20 experience, Olly Cracknell has made 118 carries, four turnovers and a bruising 171 tackles - the most in the competition - to mark him out as one of the Championship’s most dreaded defenders.
Giovanni Licata (Zebre)
A sprinkling of Italian panache also makes an appearance in the top ten, with 23-year-old Giovanni Licata showing exactly why he has notched 11 international appearances after his 116 carries - 43 of which were successful - and a whopping 15 offloads - the most of any Guinness PRO14 player.
Jarrad Butler (Connacht)
And it’s another inclusion for a Connacht star to complete the top ten, with Australian flanker Jarrad Butler earning recognition after his thunderous 135 tackles, important four turnovers and dynamic 78 carries from the back of the scrum.
