Argentina Rugby Festival for Veterans 2008

Team Sports Ltd from Argentina wants to invite your Veterans Rugby Teams to the Argentina Rugby Festival 2008 for veterans, the perfect environment to share old anecdotes and live new experiences with rugby players from all over the world.

The tournament, which is NOT COMPETITIVE, is held in Club Comercial de Mar del Plata, from November the 9th to November the 12th and has 2 categories: 35 to 44 and 45 or more.

In our 1st edition we had a 356 players representing teams from Canada, Czech Republic, Japan and the argentine cities of Mar del Plata, Cordoba and Buenos Aires.

Mar del Plata is one the most beautiful sea side cities in South America, so come and experience the tournament’s camaraderie, the city’s wonderful beaches, it’s architectural beauty, food and night life!

Every evening you can meet with your old and new friends in "La Llorona", the official tournament’s pub and watch the highlights on wide screen wile you taste a cold beer.

The festival ends with a spectacular barbecue filled with famous argentine beef a red wine.

At the same time you can enjoy “Golf For Rugbiers”, a golf tournament for rugby people with a competence BETWEEN BACKS AND FOWARDS. Thought for those who are not able to have fun in the pitch but still can have fun sharing with old and new rugby friends from all over the world.

Have in mind that teams formed specially for this occasion will be accepted, it’s not mandatory to represent officially a club. If you want to join the tournament individually (or you can’t make to a full 15 team) the organization will fit you in with other players in the same situation.
