"When I played rugby, I loved to defend more. My team played from defense, because I would take advantage of any chance to break a couple of ribs. And not so important, the big one match or friendly. Sometimes I even had problems with the judges. I have always had good dimensions and physical strength. Even now, being an arbiter, I am very strong. So I could be a good attacker. Since childhood, I was looking for myself in different sports: grampling, judo, swimming, even football.
Immediately as soon as I came to rugby, I began to think about the Georgian national team. I liked players and coaches. Everything went well. But I was injured for injury. He especially suffered from the head. And at some point, these damage began to beat in my health. By 20 years I had five brain concussions, ankle fracture and knee problems. Then mom said: "If you don't die, I will die." These words were like lightning, and I decided to finish with rugby. I decided to become a judge, but in those days this work was not very paid well, and the arbitrators did not particularly trusted. So the decision was not easy.
But I coped. Maybe he was able to prove someone to be a judge - a prestigious profession. You travel a lot, visit the legendary stadiums, work with colleagues and high-class players. Probably, I was able to raise the bar of my profession in Georgia. Now it's interesting to see how this will affect other judges in my country.
Honestly, I never dreamed of what was reached now. Although, probably, all the judges want to work at the World Cup. I never dreamed of going to earn millions, live in luxury villas and ride on expensive cars. My dream is the World Cup. When I was still playing, I joked that I could "Lelos" will take me to the tournament at least as a waterpath.
In the meantime, the Cup of the six nations is approaching. If a couple of years ago, you told me that I would work there on matches, I would answer that I had no chance. I just want to modestly thank for this opportunity and appreciate everyone who wanted me all the best".

Perchè se c'è guardo il 6N con la massima attenzione e la birra vicino, altrimenti mi prendo qualcos'altro da fare mentre tengo la tivù accesa giusto per sapere i punteggi...
