World Rugby ha annunciato la shortlist dei sei giocatori in corsa per il titolo di World Rugby Men’s Player of the Year 2016. A giocarsi il titolo di miglior giocatore saranno gli All Blacks Beauden Barrett e Dane Coles, gli inglesi Owen Farrell, Billy Vunipola e Maro Itoje (Inghilterra) e infine Jamie Heaslip (Irlanda).

Itoje avrà molte altre occasioni...

Spero anche io Heaslip ma se dovessi scommettere punterei su Coles.

Tifo anch'io irish, ma, se devo fare un ragionamento tecnico, Dane Coles è un giocatore "diverso" da tutti gli altri. Uno con due mani da 3/4, una velocità da flanker, e la solidità di una prima linea. In un mio pezzo di commento ad un match degli AB's ebbi a definirlo "utility rugby" perchè fa tutto ad alto livello.
Diciamo che il cuore sta con Jamie, la testa con Dane.

Per me uno tra barrett e farrell... insieme ad itoje sono quelli che hanno più influenzato i risultati delle loro squadre... io personalmente preferisco barrett ma credo vincerà farrell...
