Brumbies and Australia fly-half set to miss South Africa tour
Stephen Larkham is set to miss the Brumbies\' two-week tour of South Africa to remain in Australia and recover from an operation to remove a cancerous growth behind his left knee.

As well as missing the away Super 12 matches against the Cats and the Sharks, Larkham may also miss the Brumbies\' trip to Auckland to face the Blues on April 2.

Larkham has been aware of the problem since 2003, and went under the knife after orchestrating his team\'s 22-19 victory over the Stormers on Friday.

A recent biopsy caused him to decide to have the operation, and he stayed behind as his team-mates departed Canberra for Johannesburg.

He is likely to be replaced by Matt Giteau, who would be making make his first appearance after a hand injury if he did play.
