I was wondering how Italian Rugby the Super 10 survives financially?

Is the Italian Government offers 150 % tax deduction for the sponsors?

Also , what is the top wage a player can earn like Paul Griffern and brendon Williams at Calvisano?

Also how much would Elia Tuquri getting at Overmach Parma?

How does this club keep going with crowds of 1,000 and still have wage bills of 1 Million Euros +

We have connections with schools, but most of italian rugby, from the start in U7, is club rugby. For example, in Parma we have only one U17 team playing in the U17 championship that comes from a school.

I think that italian clubs don't think to make money from the tickets. In some Super 10 stadiums you can go without paying (Catania, Rovigo)
Are you planning to attend an Italian language class???
I guess could be usefull for you otherwise you are loosing a lot of talks in rugby.it.

Jpw, here's a translation of zuffy's post
-----------
Brendan williams plays for Treviso, not Calvisano!

What jpw says is quite interesting: how on earth can small clubs manage to support 30-odd professional players, when they have only very limited revenue? Certainly ours may not be millionaire wages, but it won't be easy to make ends meet.

I have previously asked how much would a good level pro expect to earn, but the only information i managed to obtain was that Mauro Bergamasco, probably our most expensive player, would roughly make around 200K a year, but I couldn't quote any specific source or definite amounts.

In my pro rugby manager, the managerial rugby videogame, Troncon earn around 3000 a month, but i don't know how much this piece of info is worth.

it is a good question, a good amount of cash flow is coming from skytv since they got interested in super10.
stadiums always have small crowds but the audience on tv has been growing, otherwise skytv wouldn 't have hugely improved the number of rugby matches broadcasted.
but the question mark remains, tellymoney is something , certainly not enough to fill a super10 team budget. often there are fiscal issues linked to sponsorships...

It's a very intersting question ...but the answer is not easy , the revenues mostly come from sponsorships and advertising (that are always in EU tax-deductibles)
Some teams , Benetton, Calvisano, Arix Viadana are more-or-less directly owned from the main sponsor - that sometimes , like Benetton is able to attract other sponsors;
There is just one , Petrarca Padova a "public company" with hundreds of shareholders , and an external main sponsor (Safilo/Carrera) not involved in the club like Rovigo and Aquila , then Venezia with municipality support (Casinò di Venezia is municipality-owned) and Catania that has always had a strong support from region administration and strong politic liasons too...

No club gets money from attendance at stadiums ..even where are paying, the cost may be higher than revenues , so main sources of money are Sponsors, Advertising and funds form TV rights and FIR.

The problem - vital for the survival of a Pro-championship - is this : I seriuosly doubt that any club are making money from S10 ...
