TM autunnali al LANSDOWNE ROAD STADIUM?

Ho provato a cercare info sui TM autunnali dell' irlanda, specie per trovare conferma di IRL-AUS al Lansdowne Road, dato che potrebbe essere l'ultima opportunità di assistere ad una partita nello stadio storico irlandese prima che venga ridisegnato.
Al momento le fixtures si fermano a questo mese (maggio) e secondo i programmi il 2006 dovrebbe servire per il planning del progetto dello stadio (valutazioni impatto ambientale & co.) e il 2007 per iniziare i lavori di costruzione veri e propri.
Questo potrebbe significare che la voce di un TM al Lansdowne Road è vera.
Qualcuno sa dirmi di più?

Durante la telecronaca inglese di Leinster - Munster di HC mi par d'aver capito che la semifinale tra le due squadre irlandesi sarebbe stata l'ultima partita di livello giocata a Lansdowne Road.

L'ultimissima partita dovrebbe essere disputata tra pochi giorni tra due squadre di vecchie glorie,ma prendi il tutto con le pinze perchè io e l'inglese non andiamo troppo d'accordo!

I write in response to your recent email about Irelands 2006 Autumn Internationals. Ireland is scheduled to play against:

South Africa on the weekend of 11th/12th November

Australia on the weekend of 18th/19th November

Pacific Islands on the weekend of 25th/26th November



These matches are scheduled to be played in Lansdowne Road. Tickets for Irish Internationals in Lansdowne Road are distributed through the clubs and branches of Ireland only - you must be a member of an Irish rugby club in order to purchase tickets from them. Unfortunately, there are no extra tickets for general distribution and tickets are not sold from the Union office.



The visiting Unions will also receive an allocation of tickets for their game, which they will usually distribute in the same manner, through their own clubs and branches.



On occasion we may have tickets returned to us. On the last few occasions that this happened, these tickets were then made available to purchase online via our website www.IrishRugby.ie. I would advise keeping a close eye on our website during the summer months for any further information about a possible sale.

The planned reconstruction work on Ireland’s Lansdowne Road has been postponed indefinitely due to the discovery of Neolithic paintings at the venue.
The home of Irish rugby, the oldest international rugby ground in the world, was due to be completely rebuilt to bring the stadium into the 21st century and provide the IRFU with the facilities needed for a top-level organization in modern sport.
However, the discovery of the ancient artwork on the walls of the dressing rooms means the entire redevelopment may now be thrown into doubt.
An IRFU spokesperson has revealed that builders discovered the paintings behind the shower stalls in the home team dressing room whilst doing preparation work for the forthcoming demolition.
‘We’ve called in UNESCO to take a look at the find,’ said the spokesman. ‘It’s a very exciting discovery for Ireland culturally and perhaps indicates that the ground has been used for recreation for longer than we currently believed.’
If UNESCO confirm the authenticity of the paintings, it could lead to the complete cancellation of the IRFU’s redevelopment project, dealing a serious financial and strategical blow to the union.
The IRFU have not yet made public any images of the paintings, but it is thought they may represent the image of primitive man kicking an oval shaped object high into the air with a group of followers wildly chasing.
The discovery is believed to be the most significant at Lansdowne Road since the Ark of the Covenant was discovered during an international between England and Ireland in 1332.
