Ai Blues non è andata troppo bene... perso 17-27 in casa contro i Force e sopraattutto perso Nick Evans per una sospetta frattura alla mascella. Con Nacewa già fuori per un altro mese la situazione si fa improvvisamente nerissima....

Anche ai Crusaders non è andata meglio perche se da un lato hanno battuto con facilità i Cheethas 55-7 dall'altro hanno preso Brett per frattura alla clavicola

bulls e cheetas.. mamma mia che strapazzata..

brett è caduto male sulla spalla facendo uno strepitoso off load con il peso del terza linea che l'ha placcato addosso.. stavo soffrendo per lui.
si farà sentire la sua mancanza al fianco di carter nelle prossime giornate. nel primo tempo s'è visto più lui nel gioco al piede dell n° 10 dei crociati. avrà più spazio raplh quindi, che di mete ne sa qualcosa.
se perdessero anche Evans i Blues sarebbero veramente in crisi. fortuna loro sembra una cosa facilmente risolvibile.

Nick Evans has overcome a head injury to be named in the Blues team for a Super 14 rugby match against the Stormers on Saturday.

It had been feared Evans would be ruled out of contention after receiving a heavy knock to the head in his team's loss to Western Force last weekend.

"Nick has come through all his testing this week so at this stage we're comfortable naming him in our lineup," coach David Nucifora said today.

Nucifora has responded to the loss to the Force by making a number of changes for the match in Auckland, including the placement of All Blacks winger Joe Rokocoko on the reserves bench.

Openside flanker Daniel Braid will make his first appearance of the season after recovering from a shoulder injury, leaving Justin Collins to begin the game among the reserves.

Prop Nick White has been named to start ahead of Tony Woodcock, who is another named on a strong reserves bench.

"This is just a chance for Nick to start the game rather than finish it.

"The same applies to Joe Rokocoko and Rudi Wulf. Rudi will start while Joe rests up before making his impact off the bench later in the match."

Fullback George Pisi will run out in the starting 15 for the first time this year.

"George had a shoulder operation during the off-season and has been on the bench in our first few rounds. Now he is ready to start at 15 and deserves the opportunity."

The locks have also been rotated, with Kurtis Haiu starting and Bryn Evans moving to the bench.

ho notato adesso che i western force hanno in rosa un giocatore del '90 James O'Connor che è stato recentemente convocato con l'Australia Seven

appena tornata dalla Cake Tin or Westpac Stadium di Wellington dove mi sono vista Hurricanes vs Sharks. ora premettendo che ero gia' innervosita che avevo lasciato Auckland con 22 gradi e mi ritrovo nella pioggia fittissima della Capitale.........ma soprattutto...........dove accidenti l'ha preso il patentino quell'idiota di arbitro???????? tanto che e' dovuto scappare nel tunnel con due guardie di sicurezza mentre gli tiravano di tutti dagli spalti. almeno 5/6 min ininterrotti di fishi e buuu da parte dei tifosi.

1) chiamata sbagliata sulla palla che tocca la bandierina d'angolo. meno male che il giardialinea sapeva le regole.
2) concessa la penalty try agli Sharks al 70' che chiaramente non c'era.
3) meta netta dei Canes allo scadere degli 80' regolamentari e invece di chiedere conferma al TMO preferisce fischiare tre volte e chiudere la partita con un tristissimo 13 a 13.

L'ulteriore e nettissima sconfitta dei Blues lascia veramente ancor di piu' l'amaro in bocca.

Meno male che ho finito la serata di sabato con parte dei Jerry Collins & Co. all'Establishment..........altrimenti.....

Per i Blues si mette sempre peggio... S14 finito per Rokocoko che perderà anche l'inizio del 3N per un intervento ai tendini del polso destro che lo terrà fuori 3/4 mesi.

Più a sud Dan Carter fuori 6 settimane per un infortunio alla caviglia.
Brett ancora fuori per qualche settimana.
Probabilmente fuori anche Leon MacDonald
Contro i Lions sabato giocheranno n.10 e n.12 Hamish Gard (22 anni) e Tim Bateman (20 anni)

Certo che da quando la stampa NZ ha iniziato a parlare di unbeaten crusade
i crusaders hanno avuto una serie di infortuni impressionante. Ci manca solo che si faccia male anche McCaw e non arrivano nemmeno alle semifinali....

I Crusaders hanno finalmente perso la prima partita del torneo.
Ad Hamilton sono stati battutti 18-5 dai Chiefs.

Partita poco ispirata dei Crusaders che non sono riusciti a metere sotto i Chiefs davanti e anzi si sono fatti dominare nel breakdown perdendo più volte il possesso anche su azioni favorevoli e concedendo ai Chiefs i palloni per innescare la loro formidabile batteria di tre quarti.

Solo la loro formidabile difesa gli ha permesso di rimanere sostanzialmente in partita fino quasi alla fine quando la non meta/in avanti di Manu ha chiuso la partita

Brett al rientro da n. 10 poco convincente
Ralph negativo e Hamilton ad estremo è una disgrazia.

Se non rientra MacDonald per le prossime due partite contro Blues e Sharks sono dolori.


I Chiefs invece hanno giocato alla grandissima. Hanno difeso in modo attento, hanno rallentato ogni pallone spesso anche ben oltre il limite, ma la tattica ha chiaramente funzionato.

In attacco sono sempre un bellezza da vedere. Offloads e gioco alla mano di grande qualità.

Donald, Kahui, Masaga, Muliaina... il talento certo non gli manca.

Mostruoso anche Lauaki che sembra che abbia un conto aperto con i Crusaders
