è quello a cui puntano gli irlandesi mi sa, e ora che hanno trovato un equilibrio in squadra secondo me è seriamente candidata al trionfo finale, ma ancora è fin troppo presto per parlare, di qui al 2011 le cose cambiano!

JDV mamma mia grande acquisto.. leggendo il forum del Munster però ho trovato qualche commento contro la campagna acquisti...troppi stranieri... volevo dirgli di andare a vedere una sqaudra di super10..il munster gioca con 8 giocatori di mischia irlandesi..mediana irlandese e siamo a 10 giocatori aggiungi Earls e fanno 11.. giocheranno anche con i centri (Mafi e JDV) stranieri più Howlett, cosa vogliono di più? -.-''

Il tuo discorso è vero però da tifoso Munster trovo positivissimo che i tifosi continuino a tenere la dirigenza pressata sul tema degli stranieri, fosse cosi da tutte le parti ...

Habana ha accettato l'offerta dei i Western Province e dovrebbe passare al Capo a partire dall'anno prossimo.

cosa ci va a fare? giocare in una squadra mediocre che ha perso JDV e Watson?!
gioca in una squadra che è una corazzata con un pack che schiaccia tutto quello che trova di fronte.... ha bisogno di respirare un po aria di mare o di soldi?

Tuquiri vicino al Bayonne (per 550.000 euro a stagione)


DESPITE talk of Lote Tuqiri returning to rugby league, there are still strong indications he will continue his rugby union career in France.

The Australian revealed three weeks ago that Tuqiri was negotiating with French rugby club Bayonne after the ARU tore up his $2 million contract for a breach of team protocol.

Since then, Tuqiri has talked about returning to the NRL and even of being prepared to take a cut on his $900,000 a year salary.

But an informed source with strong connections to French rugby union told The Australian yesterday that Tuqiri's deal with Bayonne was still on and it was close to being finalised.

There was also a strong rumour that AFL-bound Brisbane Broncos star Karmichael Hunt was negotiating with English rugby union club Leeds for a three-month stint in Europe.

Given the riches in French rugby there was no way an NRL club could compete financially with Bayonne, which is believed to have offered Tuqiri $900,000 to $1m a year. At 29, Tuqiri probably only has a few years left to earn this kind of money.

Cheetahs loosehead Wian du Preez has signed a two-month deal with Irish club Munster.

Du Preez was the form loosehead in the Currie Cup this season and was part of the Cheetahs’ front row that was considered the best scrumming force in the competition.

However, he was a shock exclusion from the Springbok squad for the end-of-year tour.

Munster, who are struggling with a prop injury crisis, have now approached Du Preez to help bolster their front row.

‘The deal has been sealed and I will be leaving next weekend for two months,’ Du Preez told keo.co.za. ‘It will be a great experience. In the last three years, Munster have won the European Cup twice. So it’s good to know I’ll be playing for one of Europe’s powerhouses.’

Du Preez added that he is looking forward to featuring alongside players like Springbok centre Jean de Villiers.

‘It will be great to meet up with an excellent player like Jean. There are also many British and Irish Lions and other internationals in the squad, so I will learn a lot during my time there.’

Forwards coach Barend Pieterse said he is happy Du Preez has received this opportunity.

‘Wian is already a good player and he will only get better,’ said Pieterse. ‘It’s a shame he didn’t get a Springbok call-up, but this will be a great experience for him.’

Du Preez is expected to feature in five European Cup matches and three Irish League games. The prop will return on the 25 January, in time for the Cheetahs’ Super 14 preparations.

The 27-year-old had been playing for the Crusaders since 2005 and was Clermont's second option after they approached Stade Francais' Benjamin Kayser, who wasn't interested in joining them.

Waldrom signs for Leicester
Long-serving New Zealand domestic No 8 Thomas Waldrom has reportedly signed to play for leading English club Leicester.
Hawke's Bay Today reported that Waldrom, 26, would leave for England at the end of his Super 14 season with the Crusaders, meaning he won't play a second season with Hawke's Bay in the national provincial championship.
