Sperementali del super 14 o stadard ?

C'è il rischio che i giocatori Sudafricnai debbano cambiare 3 regolaemnti in poco tempo (stadrd per il down under delle europe, sperimentale super 14 nel 3Nation e super-sperimentale nella Currie Cup)

per itest do giugno si applicheranno le vecchie regole cioe' quelle adottate dall'emisfero del nord, mentre per il TriNations la SANZAR deve ancora decidere.

poveri giocatori sudafricani: in 15 giorni rischiano di giocare con 3 regolamenti diversi !

Magari gli facciamo fare pura una partitella a League e una a Aussie rules....

E' quasi sicuro che i gioctori selezionati per giocare il 3N, non partecipano alla Carrie Cup........quindi passeranno dalle ELV alle vecchie regole alle ELV (se laSANZAR decidera' di adottarle nel 3N).

L'amministratore delegato della IRB Mike Millar ha oggi confermato ad Auckland che si sta ancora discutendo se il TriNations adottera' l'ELV ma che la risposta e' piu' sul si che sul no. In piu' l'IRB decidera' durante il General Meeting di Novembre se anche tutte le competizioni Europee adotteranno le modiche. Di nuovo pare sia piu' un si che un no.

Lo dici come se fosse una novità: era già successo l'anno scorso per la mischia4tempi!!! Le regole vengono sempre applicate dal primo gennaio quindi qui al nord a campionato in corso...

Lo dico come un dato di fatto.

Certo è però che l'impatto delle nuove ELV è ben diverso da quello di una mischia a 4 tempi che sostanzialmente non cambiava niente

Jonny Wilkinson salterà il tour in NZ a giugno per sottoporsi ad un intervento alla spalla.

Mi chiedo sempre più quale sia l'utilità di questi tuor di giugno, l'inghilterra andrà in NZ con mezza squadra fuori, e quelli che giocano sono stanchi o mezzi infortunati. Prederanno una grandinata di punti, come la Francia l'anno scorso, e se ne torneranno a casa... boh

Forse per "nostro gioco" intendeva quello inglese che , molti dicono, sarebbe il più penalizzato dalle nuove regole.

Scherzi a parte io penso che ogni Union pensa prima a se stessa poi al gioco del rugby in generale.

Hong Kong to host Bledisloe Cup test

The All Blacks and Australia are to battle for the Bledisloe Cup in Hong Kong in what is a dramatic move for international rugby.

It is the first time the two teams have played each other outside of either Australia or New Zealand except for at Rugby World Cup.

It is also the first time the trophy has been up for grabs outside Australasia.

NZRU CEO Steve Tew said: "The match will make history and help promote rugby in a part of the world where it is developing quickly.

"We know both the All Blacks and the Wallabies have many fans in Asia and it is fantastic to be able to bring the game to them and to local rugby enthusiasts."

The match will be played on Saturday, November 1, kicking off at 4.30pm HKT (9.30pm NZT).

With the addition of the Hong Kong match, the Bledisloe Cup - which dates back to 1931 - will be decided over four Tests in 2008.

Other Bledisloe Cup matches scheduled for 2008 are also part of the Tri-Nations tournament on July 26 in Sydney, August 2 in Auckland and September 13 in Brisbane.

The test was confirmed after Tew and Australian Rugby Union (ARU) chief executive John O'Neill met local officials in Hong Kong, which has successfully hosted its annual sevens tournament for more than two decades.

It was first mooted by the Hong Kong Rugby Union midway through last year and officially approved by the International Rugby Board in January.

The local union also hope to stage a curtainraiser between Hong Kong and China.

The test will be played before both teams travel to Europe for their end-of-year tours, where the All Blacks will attempt to repeat their 2005 Grand Slam success.

"Australia and New Zealand are great sporting rivals and the Bledisloe Cup is always fiercely contested," said ARU Chief Executive and Managing Director John O'Neill.

"November's match will be no different. It promises to be a full-blooded encounter between two of the sport's heavyweights. This is not an exhibition game."

The Hong Kong Rugby Union will host the match and will use the occasion to promote rugby with youth and club tournaments in the week leading up to the match and potentially a curtain raiser between Hong Kong and China on the day of the match.

"Hong Kong's status as a rugby destination continues to grow," said HKRFU Executive Director Allan Payne.

"Teams and fans always enjoy the Sevens, but international 15-a-side rugby is another remarkable and distinct rugby experience. With millions watching on television around the world this is rugby at its best and a real showcase for Hong Kong."

Munster match confirmed for All Blacks

A midweek match against Munster has been confirmed for the All Blacks' rugby tour of Britain and Ireland in November.

The match, on November 18 in Limerick, follows an invitation from Irish officials to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Munster's victory over the All Blacks in 1978.

The game is the final addition to New Zealand's end-of-year tour schedule which features six matches, starting with a test against Australia in Hong Kong before tests against Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England.

All Blacks manager Darren Shand today said the size of the touring squad would not be determined until after the Tri-Nations campaign but it could be up to 35 players.

Shand said a 26-man squad would be named for the Tri-Nations on June 1, the day after the Super 14 final.

In quanto tempo avranno esaurito i 13.200 posti di Thomond Park?

Ieri a Coventry i tifosi di Munster erano 22.000 e ne aspettano più di 50.000 a Cardiff per la finale.

Comunque questa sfida con gli AB è il giusto premio per quello che Munster sta facendo in Europa in questi anni
