Premetto, non ho visto la partita, ma ho trovato questa informazione sul sito di New zealand Press Association, qualcuno mi da' indicazioni in più?


LONDON - International Rugby Board (IRB) referees' boss Paddy O'Brien has given Stuart Dickinson a rev-up and apologised to the All Blacks for the Australian whistler's errors at the scrum last weekend.

New Zealand's former top referee told coach Graham Henry when they met in London today that Dickinson got it wrong, and Italy's props were breaching the laws as they appeared to dominate the All Blacks' scrum in Milan.

"The best example I can use is in the last 10 minutes there were eight scrums, of which seven, the tighthead for Italy is purely illegal," O'Brien told Fairfax media.

"Up here they're crying that it should have been a penalty try. It should have been a penalty first scrum to the All Blacks."

Italy coach Nick Mallett called for a penalty try as the hosts camped on the All Blacks' line, while the tourists claimed tighthead Martin Castrogiovanni was boring in on Wyatt Crockett throughout the test.

All Blacks assistant coach Steve Hansen yesterday accused Dickinson of "guessing" in his scrum rulings.

O'Brien said Dickinson would need to study a DVD of the match, he would be coached on how to better adjudicate the scrums, and told to lift his game or it could affect his future appointments.

"We've got to be fair to teams. If the referee is not accurate we've got to put our hand up. We need to educate that referee and get him better because that scrummaging on Saturday was not up to international standard."

He said the impact on Crockett had to be taken into account, as he was subbed off in the 60th minute after repeatedly trying to tell Dickinson of the problems at scrum time.

"You've got a young guy trying to launch his test career and get things right and the referee is inaccurate. Then it's our problem," O'Brien said.

"We've got to deal with the ref which we will just like Graham deals with a player who is not playing well."

South African's Jonathan Kaplan will control the All Blacks' test against England at Twickenham on Sunday (NZT).

Non sono per niente d'accordo con il giudizio espresso su Os Du Randt. Aver perso un "confronto diretto" - se così si può dire - con Julian 'Red-Rose' White non lo rende automaticamente un pilone sopravvalutato.

Il responsabile Irb degli arbitri Paddy O'Brien, durante un’intervista, si è scusato con gli AllBalcks per l’arbitraggio della partita con l’Italia lo scorso sabato a San Siro. O’Brien sostiene che l’arbitro Stuart Dickinson ha dato una valutazione sbagliata della mischia negli ultimi minuti, che Castrogiovanni avrebbe sempre spinto verso l’interno penalizzando Crockett e che quindi ci sarebbe dovuta stare una punizione contro la nazionale italiana.

"It's just good to have some reality, some truthfulness," Henry said yesterday. "I think the scrum's been a problem for some time. If you get two teams who want to scrum legally then you get a good game of football. If you get one team not doing that it makes it a mess so as a spectacle it's poor to look at.

Attraverso i neretti, faccio notare che persino la NZPA (agenzia di stampa neozelandese) sembra rendersi conto del contesto: se POB fosse stato irlandese (poniamo), avrebbe messo un inciso tipo "of Limerick"? E "personal", che qui può essere inteso "di persona", non suona anche come "a titolo personale"?

Tutto questo "bitching" (= lamentarsi) sulle mischie, ha un unico vero positivo effetto collaterale: quello di aver ridato finalmente senso alle mischie, alla battaglia fisica di questa cruciale fase di gioco, rivalorizzandola, dopo anni, soprattutto a livello internazionale, di staticità ed introduzioni storte, che l'avevano ormai ridotta quasi ad una formalità, tanto da cominciare a far pensare qualcuno, di eliminarla....

Qui "personal" è traducibile esclusivamente come "personale", cioè con il senso di "non ufficiale"; "di persona", diversamente, sarebbe stato "personally".....

Non ne capirò molto, ma almeno fino all'uscita di Castrogiovanni non mi pare di aver visto alcuna scorrettezza da parte dei piloni italiani. Al contrario, mi pare che più volte Crockett non si leghi a Castro e che la terza neozelandese spinga sul pilone italiano. A stima, mi pare di ricordare che invece Rouyet si sia messo di taglio in almeno una delle mischie finali, ma non mi pare che il pilone neozelandese fosse particolarmente dritto e che le terze regolarmente o spingessero sui piloni oppure si staccassero dalla mischia. Penso che Henry dovrebbe tacere un po' di più, fare un bel mea culpa e cercare di trovare una prima linea all'altezza prima del 2011, oppure son sicuro che saranno dolori per gli All Blacks.

E come la penso io penso siano in tanti a pensarla.
Il primo link ke avete postato e' chiaro come l'acqua: tutti spingono dritti, e i NZ vanno indietro. Poi finche' le terze invece di spingere si alzano e vanno a farsi le passeggiate, non c'e' da lamentarsi se la mischia arretra : cioe' e' normale fisica delle forze.
